Another Week, Another Day of Losing More Money 🤑. Week 3 Update.

Portfolio Analysis

BlackRock amasses $10 Trillion in AUM (Assets Under Management) and a 6% increase in profit but the security continued to trend down (almost 5%).

UnitedHealth Group’s earnings is around the corner and word on the street is that Optum (their growth puppy) is expected to do well. We shall see.

So far the L/S Equity Strategy on ARK has yielded 0.7% in accumulation differential. Not much, but we’ll see what happens throughout the year. More on this potential arbitrage later.

Looks like portfolio is down ~ 8% at the start of this week (as opposed to last week when it was down ~ 6%). Still not losing any sleep. In fact, I am thinking of maybe deploying some more capital or…perhaps considering the dreaded “leverage” option (which I prefer not to do if I can help it).

Bottom-line → Otherwise, as stated in last week’s update, I expect more pain to come as we transition from QE (quantitative easing) to QT (quantitative tightening) and rates haven’t even gone up yet (LOL 🤣). Just more macro-related sell-off. Nothing to see here.
